He said that 113 cases have been registered and 124 people have been arrested for violating the order of the Supreme Court of October 23.

According to the police, 2,500 kilograms of illegal firecrackers were seized from different parts of the city on Diwali and 87 people arrested in connection with 72 cases registered in this regard.

A senior police official said, "Delhi Police seized 2,776 kg of illegal crackers from Delhi on Diwali, seven people have been arrested and 72 cases have been registered in connection with illegal sale of firecrackers."

Of the 72 cases, eight cases were registered in South West Delhi and 208 kilograms of firecrackers were seized.

In East Delhi three cases were registered and 165 kilogram firecrackers were seized. In the northeast, five cases were registered and 214.3 kilogram firecrackers were seized, while seven  were filed in Shahdara and 176 kilograms of firecrackers were seized.

In Central Delhi, six cases were reported and three cases were registered in the North district of Delhi.

According to the police, eight cases were registered from Uttar Pradesh and 112 kilogram firecrackers were seized. Four cases were filed in Rohini and later, 794.5 kilogram firecrackers were seized.

Senior official said that four cases were filed in the South District and 100 kilogram illegal firecrackers were seized.
