Indonesia Tsunami: Dozens of buildings were destroyed by the waves, causing the south Sumatra and jaws at the western end of Java at around 9.30 pm (1430 GMT) on the beach at the local time.
Jakarta: In the Tsunami in Indonesia, at least 43 people have been killed and about 600 people have been injured, which may be due to the volcano known as "Children" of the famous Cormatoa, officials said on Sunday.
Disaster Agency spokesman Suetopo Porovo Nugroou said in a statement that the waves destroyed hundreds of buildings on the seashore without warning of local time (1430 GMT) at 9.30 pm on the western edge of the South, Sumatra and Java.
At least 43 people died and 584 people were injured across three regions.
Officials say that the tsunami has arisen due to an unusual tidal boom, which can be triggered by the explosion of the inferior Crakatoa due to a new moon and an underwater landslide, which is a small in Sunda Stupa between Java and Sumatra Makes the island. Nogrooho said,
"This combination came suddenly a tsunami which hit the coast," but it was said that Indonesia's geological agency was working to find out how it happened.
He added that the death toll would likely increase.
Video footage posted to social media by Nugroho showed panicked residents clutching flashlights and fleeing for higher ground.
Indonesian officials initially claimed that the wave was not a tsunami, but it was a tide of jowar and appealed to the people to panic. Nugroho later apologized for the mistake on Twitter, because there was no earthquake, so the reason for the incident was difficult to detect quickly.
"If there is an initial error we're sorry," he wrote.

'It went dark'
Around the Sunda Strait between Java and Sumatra Islands, the waves swept away in some parts of the coast, but in the Pandeyalang district on the western tip of Java, the maximum loss occurred, where 33 people died and 491 were injured. On the Kerita beach, a popular day-tripping site on the west coast of Java, 15-year-old Muhammad Bintang described a sudden surge of water, which dipped the tourist spot into the darkness.
"We arrived at 9 in the morning for our leave and suddenly the water came - it became dark, the electricity is off," he told AFP. "It's messy out and we still can not reach the road.

Lutfi al-Rasade said that he ran away on the beach in the city of Kaliyanda by fear of his life. The 23-year-old AFP said, "I could not start my motorbike, so I left it and I ran ... I just prayed and fled as much as I could."
However, relatively rare, submarine volcanic eruption can cause tsunami due to disruption of water or slope failure, according to the International Tsunami Information Center. Anarkac Krakota is a small volcanic island that came out of the ocean after half a century of the deadly 1883 eruption of Krakota.
Indonesia, one of the most disastrous countries on earth, the so-called Pacific Ring Ring of Fire, where tectonic plates collide and is a major part of the world's volcanic eruptions and earthquakes.
Recently an earthquake and tsunami in Palu City on Sulawesi Island killed thousands of people.
In 2004, a tsunami occurred on the coast of Sumatra in western Indonesia with an earthquake of 9.3 magnitude. This killed 220,000 people in the countries around the Indian Ocean, including 168,000 Indonesia. Anac Cracktoa is one of the 127 active volcanoes that runs the length of the archipelago.
